According to a publication at UFC’s website (www.ufc.br), Casa de Cultura Portuguesa at Universidade Federal do Ceará has registrations open for 30 vacancies at the course in Portuguese for Foreigners: Language and Brazilian Culture, from January 22 to January 25 or until the fulfillment of the 30 vacancies. 15 of them are destined to semester II (level A1) and 15 of them to semester IV (level A2). Any foreigner who is interested can get registered.
In order to get registered, the interested party must go to Casa de Cultura Portuguesa’s office (area 1 of the College of Humanities – Av. da Universidade, 2683 Benfica) with their passport (original and copy) and they must fill in a form. No taxes will be charged.
The interested parties must take a placement test, which will consist of 30 multiple-choice questions. The program content of the exam will be informed to the candidates upon their registry. The exam will take place on February 7th, at 9:00 a.m., in room 1 of Casa de Cultura Portuguesa.
The course will occur from February 19th to June 22nd, with classes on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 4:00 p.m. to 05:40 p.m. for semester II, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 09:30 to 11:10 a.m. for semester IV, totalizing 60 class hours, in both courses.
