Applications for Portuguese for Foreigners course now open
Published at: January 30, 2019 Category: NewsThe Office of the Vice Provost for International Affairs (PROINTER) announces that the application period for the Portuguese as a Foreign Language (PFL) course at the Portuguese Culture House is now open. The full announcement, which is also available on the University website, is as follows:
“The Portuguese Culture House at the Federal University of Ceará will accept applications for the PFL course (Brazilian Language and Culture) until February 13. Applications must be submitted through the course website ( http://www.ple.ufc.br/). 60 seats are being offered for the first semester (level A1), distributed into two groups: the first one is on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 06:00 to 08:00 p.m., and the second one is on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 04:00 to 06:00 p.m.
PLACEMENT TEST – There are 45 additional seats available to be filled by applicants who pass a placement test. They must register on the course website (http://www.ple.ufc.br/) by accessing the section “Placement Test” until February 8. The list of seats per level and group is also available on the course website (http://www.ple.ufc.br/).
The placement test will consist of 30 multiple-choice questions. The course content and the test venue will be informed to the applicants by email after the application period. It will take place on February 11, at 09:00 a.m., with a duration of two hours. Applicants must arrive at the test venue one hour before the test, bearing their passports.
CLASSES – Classes start on February 18 (for the Mondays and Wednesdays group) and on February 19 (for the Tuesdays and Thursdays group). The course load is 64 hours.”
